Putin signed a law on the “protection of Russian citizens” abroad

The law signed by Putin gives the president the right to attract the army to “protect citizens of the Russian Federation” in the event of “their arrest, detention and criminal prosecution” abroad. Amendments have been made to the laws “On Citizenship” and “Defense”.
