Editorial Policy

Editorial Policy

news101.org is a news aggregation platform. The following policy governs how we select, present, and attribute the news content available on our platform. Transparency is fundamental to our operation.

Nature of Our Service

news101.org aggregates news articles from third-party news publishers via publicly available RSS feeds. We do not employ journalists or produce original reporting. We do not write, rewrite, or editorially modify source content. Our role is to organize, translate, categorize, and present existing journalism in a multilingual, accessible format.

Source Selection Criteria

We include sources based on the following criteria:

  • Editorial independence: The source must operate with editorial independence from government and commercial interests.
  • Accuracy record: The source must have a consistent record of factual, verifiable reporting.
  • Transparency: The source must identify its ownership, funding, and editorial team.
  • Correction policy: The source must have a publicly stated policy for issuing corrections.

Sources that consistently publish misinformation or unverified claims are excluded from our platform.

Content Attribution

Every article on news101.org carries the name of the original publisher, a direct link to the original article, the original publication date, and the author name when provided. We do not claim authorship of aggregated content. Copyright for all aggregated content remains with the original publishers.

Categorization

Articles are automatically categorized by keyword analysis of titles and excerpts. Categories are assigned algorithmically and do not represent editorial endorsement. We cover: World News, Politics, Economy, Technology, Science, Health, Sports, Culture, Entertainment, and Environment.

Corrections and Removals

If an article contains incorrect attribution or should be removed, contact editorial@news101.org. We review all requests within 2 business days. For DMCA requests, contact legal@news101.org.

Independence from Advertising

Advertising relationships have no influence on which sources we aggregate or how we categorize content. Our systems operate independently of advertising.
