Putin visits disputed Kuril Islands

🇷🇺 🇯🇵 Russian President Putin has made his first visit to the disputed Kuril Islands, travelling to Iturup, one of four islands claimed by both Russia and Japan. Tokyo strongly protested the visit, calling it “absolutely unacceptable.”
