Orban's admission of electoral defeat brings Hungary closer to the European Union

Populist Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban acknowledged what he described as a "painful" defeat in the legislative elections, ending 16 years of rule, in light of clear progress according to the initial results of the opposition led by Peter Magyar (centre-right) and the welcome of Berlin, Paris and London.
