It’s almost time for part two of Nintendo’s double feature this week.
On Tuesday, the company hosted a showcase all about the Legend of Zelda franchise, including footage and a November 5th release date for the Switch 2 Ocarina of Time remake. On Wednesday, the company will be airing its next Nintendo Direct, which will spotlight Switch 2 games “launching this winter” in an approximately 45-minute presentation. Right after the Direct, Nintendo will also air a Treehouse Live stream that’s set to run for about 110 minutes.
Now that Nintendo’s release schedule is set through November — its other big upcoming releases include Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave on September 17th and Nintendo Switch Sports Resort on October 22nd — Wednesday’s showcase could be the first meaningful look at Nintendo’s next big batch of games. Major new entries in the Pokémon and Xenoblade franchises are already on the calendar for 2027, but perhaps we’ll see more during the show.
