AI giant Anthropic has publicly filed for an initial public offering (IPO) with US market regulators. The document offered a glimpse into the company's finances but also contained nearly 100 pages related to risks around investing in the company. The filing revealed that in the first half of 2026, its revenue soared to $16.3 billion while net loss widened to over $80 billion. Plus, London's iconic Oxford Street, one of Europe's busiest shopping areas, has been partially pedestrianised.
The deal is a key step towards harnessing Cyprus' natural gas reserves and bolstering energy cooperation in the Eastern Mediterranean, with exports to Europe via Egypt and production due to start in 2028.
Anthropic has officially filed for an IPO, revealing soaring revenue, mounting losses, major enterprise adoption, and an unusual governance structure designed to preserve founder control and its AI safety mission.
