A Russian missile strike on the town of Merefa in Ukraine’s Kharkiv region has killed five people and wounded at least 18, damaging homes, businesses and public buildings in an area far from the front lines, officials said Monday. Regional prosecutors said Russian forces appeared to have used an Iskander-type ballistic missile. There was no immediate comment from Moscow.
